Samsung’s Galaxy S26 lineup is shaping up to be exactly what you’d expect: polished, capable, and frustratingly predictable.
A new leak from @Gadgetsdata claims to reveal the final specifications for the Galaxy S26 and S26+, due for launch in late February. If accurate, these phones represent Samsung’s continued reluctance to push boundaries where it matters most.
The standard S26 gets a 6.3-inch LTPO AMOLED display running at 120Hz, paired with a slightly larger 4,300mAh battery. The S26+ bumps that to 6.7 inches with 2K resolution and a 4,900mAh cell.
Both models stick with triple rear cameras: a 50MP main sensor with OIS, 12MP ultrawide, and 12MP telephoto offering 3x optical zoom. Nothing groundbreaking, but competent enough for most users.
Here’s where Samsung continues to lag. The S26 maxes out at 25W wired charging, while the S26+ caps at 45W. That 300mAh battery increase on the base model means little when competitors are pushing 65W and beyond.
Both phones will run either the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 or Exynos 2600, depending on your region. US and Chinese buyers get Qualcomm. Everyone else gets Samsung’s in-house silicon, a division that still feels arbitrary.
The S26 series launches in early March, assuming the February 25 reveal date holds. These are safe, capable phones built for people already invested in Samsung’s ecosystem. Just don’t expect any surprises.
