Samsung always brings new features with new One UI skin; the company has recently rolled out the latest skin update in the form of the One UI 5.1 update. For the Galaxy S22, the update came as the major update. The update is available globally, and the devices are now receiving new security updates.
Notably, the update is rolling out for Galaxy S22 in the US, and the update is now available on two more networks, including Spectrum and Comcast, for locked variants. Users who own Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra can identify the latest update by the build versions S901USQS2CWB7, S906USQS2CWB7, and S908USQS2CWB7 respectively. The update is already available on the Verizon network.
The latest update brings the support of the March 2023 update brings several patches, which is mainly focused on enhancing the overall security of the device. According to the official documentation, it includes over 60 vulnerability fixes that are included by Google and Samsung. For more information, Google has added 40 vulnerability fixes that are present in the Android OS, while Samsung has introduced 23 extra fixes that resolve the issues of Galaxy devices that are related to security.
The Galaxy S22 was launched last year as the new addition to its flagship range of Samsung. It came with Android 12 preinstalled; later, it received Android 13. Samsung has promised to give four Android updates and five-year security patch updates for the device, which means users who own Galaxy S22 devices will receive the new updates till 2027.
