Reports of the next-gen Galaxy foldable’s early launch are being spread on the internet widely. After the tipster brought this matter to light, now the famous blog TheElec also spoke up about it. Usually, the company launches its newer foldable series sometime in August, but this year, they intend to prepone the launch and plan to unveil it in the last week of July.
Notably, the previous rumors have revealed that the soon-to-be-launched Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 device mass production is being started sooner than usual, and that’s of all reason the in-question devices’ launch was also expected a little early. However, at that time, we haven’t received any reason why Samsung has taken this step. Now it seems that TheElec has explained the reason for the 5th Gen Galaxy foldable’s early launch.
As per TheElec’s report, because Samsung’s quarter 1’s operating profit has fallen by 95%, it is planning to improve its profit in quarter 3 of 2023. Notably, in 1Q 2023, Samsung’s profit was at its lowest in the last fifteen years, so it is really necessary for the Korean firm to work as hard as it can to overcome this situation. Hence, they are launching the newer foldable device early to start selling them in late July or early August.
If you don’t get it, selling the newly launched Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 devices in quarter 3 will help the company to raise quarter 3’s operating profit. Besides, Samsung has ordered the necessary components for the next-gen Galaxy foldable devices’ production a few weeks sooner than usual, which means there is no doubt that the company is starting these in-question devices’ mass production earlier.
Let us tell you a little about these upcoming devices; these will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy chipset and will use a new waterdrop type hinge in them. Besides, the Korean firm is planning to use the same M12 OLED material-based screens in them on which the same material will be used that was used in its predecessor series- the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4.
