Galaxy Watch 5’s LTE models getting April 2023 security update with skin temp’ based cycle monitoring
Earlier today, Samsung released the software update for the Galaxy Watch 4 series; in this, the company doesn’t include any new features but brings some improvements to the watches to enhance the stability and security of the watches. According to the changelog, the latest update for Galaxy Watch 5 brings an updated version of Samsung Health, “predict period with skin temp,” which will be added to the Cycle track. Apart from these, it also includes some fixes that improve the system’s stability.
The latest update is now available for the LTE variant of the Galaxy Watch 5 series. Users can identify the update for Galaxy Watch 5 (40mm), Galaxy Watch 5 (44mm), and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro (45mm) by these firmware version numbers R905FXXU1AWDA, R915FXXU1AWDA and R925FXXU1AWDA respectively. However, the update has already served for Bluetooth models.

The latest update for Galaxy Watch 5 is now available in several countries, including Malaysia, India, Australia, Canada, Brazil, and European countries. It is expected that the update will be available to other countries soon.
Users can update their watch by navigating to the Galaxy wearable on the connected device, tapping on watch settings, and then tapping watch software update; now, if the update is available, tap on Download and Install.
The latest update may set a platform for the upcoming One UI 5 Watch update. According to the information, Samsung will soon bring a beta update of the One UI 5 watch for Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 4 series devices. Apart from these, the company has also planned to launch a new Galaxy Watch 6 series in the coming months.
