Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 could have dust-resistant capability

Samsung is the only company constantly working on developing its foldable devices; with every new generation, it is expected to get some meaningful changes to the devices. This year company is all set to introduce Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 devices in the lineup.

Before the launch, various rumours were circulating on the internet and indicated significant improvements for the devices; for instance, the Geek Bench test of Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 revealed that the devices would give more smooth performance compared to Galaxy S23; however, three devices are equipped with same snapdragon processor, i.e. Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

According to the new rumour, it is expected that Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 devices will have dust-resistant capability; if this happens, these devices will be the first foldable devices to have it.

As per the Tipster, chunvn8888, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 will be dust resistant with an IP58 rating. This improvement will be a significant step towards the safety of foldable devices because water and dust are the biggest enemies of smartphones.

By resisting water and dust on a certain level, the chances of damaging the smartphone are decreased and making them more durable.

Along with this, some rumours have also claimed that this year Samsung will also introduce a water and dust-resistant tablet in the form of Galaxy Tab S9, according to the rumour latest table.
