Samsung announced that the upcoming Galaxy Watch series would come with a range of new apps with more responsive, flexible, and multi-functional features, including Thermo Check, Samsung Wallet and WhatsApp, and many more. On the flip side, at a Galaxy Unpacked event this summer in Seoul, South Korea, the new generation Galaxy Watch 6 and the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic with its rotating bezel will drop alongside Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5, on July 26, 2023.

This report suggests that the upcoming Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 6 classic will bring a range of new applications along with the Thermo check application, which uses a new Skin Temperature API to use the infrared temperature sensor to gather measurements.

Thermo Check:

The company provides Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic a facility for sensing a temperature without even any physical contact. In this new Thermo Check feature, users can easily check the measurement of the temperature around them. For instance, they can measure the temperature of water as well as meals.

This happens because of the infrared technology of the Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic. Somewhere it is possible because of the help of the new skin temperature API, which is a part of Samsung’s prerogative health software kit (SKD). After releasing this app, Galaxy’s upcoming watch will arrive in the Galaxy Watch 5 series.

Apart from the Thermo Check application, Samsung Wallet will also come to the new Galaxy Watch series too. Now users can easily make payments, provide IDs, and pull up show tickets with their Galaxy Watches. For your information, last year, Samsung Wallet combined Samsung Pay with Samsung Pass to consolidate more users’ wallets on their smartphones.
