Galaxy Z Fold 3/ Flip 3 and Galaxy A52 are getting October 2023 update in the US
Samsung is currently working on multiple software distributions, such as One UI 6 beta updates for different devices and the latest security patch, which is the October 2023 update. It is worth appreciating that it is handling all new software for the devices. Now to expand the security update for the Galaxy Z Flip 3, Z Fold 3, and Galaxy A52 devices.
Notably, the Galaxy Z Fold 3, Z Flip 3, and Galaxy A52 devices are getting new updates in the US. The latest update brings a new October 2023 security patch update, which doesn’t bring any new features but comes with some fixes that enhance the overall security of the Galaxy devices.
In detail, there are nearly four dozen fixes introduced, of which 34 were added by Google, which resolved the issues related to the Android OS. Along with this, Samsung also added 12 more patches that exclusively fix the security vulnerabilities related to the Galaxy devices.
The locked variants of Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Fold 3 are receiving the new update with the firmware version numbers F711USQS5GWH9 and F926USQS4GWI3 on three carriers, including Verizon, T-Mobile, and MetroPCS. While the unlocked variants of these devices are getting new updates with firmware version numbers F711U1UES5GWI3 and F926U1UES4GWI3.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy A52 is also grabbing the new update on both locked and unlocked variants with firmware versions A526USQSBEWI5 and A526U1UESBEWI2, respectively. At the moment, it has received an update on these carriers: (for locked variants): T-Mobile, MetroPCS, US Cellular, and Sprint.
Currently, this update doesn’t bring any new features for the devices, but soon they will get new improvements for the devices with the upcoming major update, One UI 6, which will give new enhancements to the different system-level applications. It is expected that these devices should get the One UI 6 update before this year ends.
