Samsung Galaxy S22 receives May 2024 security patch in Europe
Last week, Samsung initiated the May 2024 security patch with the Galaxy S24 series devices. Now, it has started expanding the update to more devices, like the Galaxy S22 series.
Notably, the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra devices are getting a May 2024 security patch with the firmware version numbers S901BXXSAEXE3, S906BXXSAEXE3, and S908BXXSAEXE3, respectively. As of writing, the update has been spotted in the European regions and is expected to be available in more regions in the next few days.
The May 2024 security patch for Galaxy S22 devices doesn’t bring any new features or changes, but it will surely bring some enhancements that will strengthen the security mechanisms of the Galaxy devices, and therefore it is coming in a small software package of 270.07 MB. Along with this, it may also bring some fixes for the issues that appeared in previous software updates.
If you are facing any issues while using the previous update of One UI 6.1 features, then you should try the latest update. It may address some issues that will improve the overall performance of the devices.
If you are using the Galaxy S22 series in Europe, then you should start getting notifications about the update availability. If you don’t receive the notification yet, you can manually check for the update via the software update menu via system settings.
