Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 Rumored to Have Larger Outer Displays

Samsung always aims to bring new innovations to their upcoming lineup that were lacking in the prior lineup. The statement especially comes in the way of the foldables. In August of this year, Samsung released the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5. The foldables have the standard minor improvements, like the enhancements over the hinge gap, which were brought with the aim of making no gap when the gadget is folded, but the flip now has a bigger cover display measuring 3.4 inches as opposed to 1.9 inches. This was a much-needed update from Samsung, and a source suggests that we may see an even bigger screen the following year.

Ross Young (@DSCCRoss) recently stated that Samsung will be releasing bigger screens in their upcoming foldable device revamp on the X platform. Speaking with display expert Ross Young on smart device displays is worth listening to since he is a man who keeps a close eye on the industry as it is part of his job. Sadly, Young has only revealed the dimensions of the Galaxy Flip 6’s cover screen, which is reportedly near 3.9 inches in diameter. Compared to its predecessor, it seems to be 0.5 inches diagonally larger.

Although we don’t have access to it, Young claims he stated the precise display sizes for the Fold 6 and Flip 6 in the most recent foldable study from Display Supply Chain Consultants. There are also rumors that the Galaxy Z Flip 6 will have improved cameras. Prototype Galaxy Z Flip 6 versions with a 50 MP main camera are apparently under testing by Samsung; this would significantly outperform the 12 MP camera on the Galaxy Z Flip 5. Additionally, it was previously rumored that Samsung is reverse engineering the Huawei Mate X5 to reduce the bulk of its next foldable device while boosting its battery capacity.
