Samsung could improve the cover screen widget for Galaxy Z Flip phones

Samsung is all set to introduce the One UI 6.1.1 update for eligible devices next month. As usual, the company has planned to unveil the update with the latest upcoming Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Z Fold phones, but before the launch, there are several pieces of information live for some devices. In this article, we will cover one of the latest developments about the cover screen widget for the Galaxy Z Flip devices.

Samsung to improve the cover-screen widget experience

A famous tipster, Evan Blass, has updated a post regarding the improvement in the widget for the cover screen of the Galaxy Z Flip phones. He has shared several photos of the devices with different widgets running on the cover screen.

Going into the analysis, in one of the images, there are three widgets open on the single screen, which reflects how Samsung is planning to optimize the widgets for the screen so users can enjoy multiple widget content on a single screen. However, it is worth noting that the cover screen with a significant size display is only equipped in the Galaxy Z Flip 5and upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 6 smartphones, which will get support for the new widget optimization with One UI 6.1.1.

As the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is already on the market, we can assume that the company will make it more interactive with the development of the One UI 6.1.1, but on the other hand, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 is expected to bring some more advanced hardware to handle such tasks on the cover screen accurately.

As far as the availability of the Galaxy Z Flip 6 is concerned, the Korean giant is all set to introduce the latest foldable in the next week when the company organizes the dedicated Galaxy Unpacked event. For more information, you can check out this article.
