Google appears to be aiming to build an advanced and more improved security for the entire Android ecosystem, as recently two new system services, namely, Android System SafetyCore and Android System Key Verifier, have been automatically installed on a few devices that are compatible.
Although the two system services already arrived with Google’s November 2024 system update, powering two key security features: Sensitive Content Warnings and Contact Key verifications, respectively.
Meanwhile, now it was noticed that Google has automatically installed the Android System SafetyCore and Android System Key Verifier on the majority of supported Android smartphones even Samsung Galaxy phones, where the former is compatible with the devices running Android 9 Pie or later, while the latter is accessible with the smartphones running Android 10 and higher.
Google’s two new system services are focused on providing advanced security features and are highly advantageous, where the Android Key Verifier is for developers that significantly allow them to store keys that are end-to-end encrypted while also keeping an eye that users must use the right keys when communicating. In other words, it’s basically a contact key verification feature.
Alternatively, the other system service, Android System SafetyCore, certainly provides more improved security features for Android smartphones. This system service further plays a key role in controlling sensitive content by offering a warning in Google Messages.
Moreover, Google has already installed these system services on Android devices with the devices running versions that are listed above; it’s obvious that compatible Samsung Galaxy devices will get these functions that will aim to improve and increase the device’s security, though.
