Samsung confirms Galaxy S25 Enterprise phones will get updates up to Android 23

Samsung released its mesmeric announcement regarding the software upgrades, as it has confirmed Galaxy S25 series for updates up to Androdi 23.

The Korean tech giant has assured that the Galaxy S25 series Enterprise Edition will receive 8 years of OS updates and 7 years of security patches, aligning with the extended support announced by Qualcomm and Google for the  Snapdragon 8 Elite device.

Currently, Google is actively working on its latest software version, Android 16, which is expected to be released in the second quarter, potentially around June 3, following the platform stability and milestones reached with Beta 3 in March.

Despite having potential future changes in the software policies, the Korean tech giant has confirmed that its Galaxy S25 series will receive updates up to Android 23. According to the official listing of the Galaxy S25 series on Samsung.com, the smartphones have seven years of software and security updates support.

Usually, Samsung offers longer software support to its Enterprise Edition products as compared to its regular products. Since Samsung officially promises its Galaxy S25 phones will get updates up to Android 23, this long support will result in a great for businesses that use phones for many years. It will be interesting to see how Samsung will strategize to roll out 8 years of OS updates.
