Samsung Galaxy Smartphones that Have Seven Years Of Software Support
Samsung is the second brand to announce long-term software support for its flagship Galaxy S24 series for up to seven years of major OS updates, after Google.
Google has already supported its Pixel 8 series for seven years of software updates. Now Samsung also accepts this seven-year software support policy for its brand new Galaxy S24 series’ devices. By this long-lasting policy, customers, after grabbing their smartphones, feel up-to-date for seven years by upgrading major OS updates.
But here’s the question twerking in the mind: which Galaxy devices are eligible for the seven years of software support?
So, Samsung has not revealed anything regarding this officially yet. Here’s the eligible device list to get seven years of Android and One UI updates:
- Galaxy S24 Ultra
- Galaxy S24+
- Galaxy S24
Meanwhile, the brand has not even unveiled the update policies for the forthcoming flagship device. So it’s also not confirmed yet that the Galaxy, which will launch in the future, will also be eligible for seven years of updates.
At the moment, The eligible device is quite short, but it is expected that it will get longer as the months go by and Samsung launches new flagship smartphones, and by grace, the brand may also give eligibility to some mid-range devices in the mix.
