Samsung expands the Android 15-based One UI 7 beta update for the Galaxy A55 in the Indian market without even a mandatory Wi-Fi connection for downloading the update.
Samsung started rolling out the beta update for the Galaxy A55 in South Korea, where it made a Wi-Fi connection mandatory for downloading the beta software. However, the company didn’t explain the reason behind this move, leaving users wondering why they couldn’t download the beta update over mobile data.
Now, the company expanded the update in the Indian market, and the official banner recommended downloading the beta software over Wi-Fi, but it wasn’t mandatory. This means that Galaxy A55 users receding in India can download and install the One UI 7 beta update via mobile data, which disproves a theory about Wi-Fi being needed for a specific update feature.
Potentially, the reason behind this limitation could be a carrier thing. Noticeably, the One UI 7 beta is only available for Galaxy A55 units carrier-loacked to SK Telecom in Korea, whereas the Indian Variant is free from carrier restriction.
The latest update brings several new features, changes, and improvements for Pro Video and Pro Photo modes, and more, to upgrade overall system software to enhance user experience.
