Samsung has rolled out the April 2025 security patch for the Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A54 with the firmware version number A556SKSS4AYC5 and A546SKSS9CYC4, respectively. With the latest update, there is no new visual changes applied. The update carries a standard changelog, which doesn’t share any important details.
However the update is coming in a significant software size approx 300MB so it is expected that the update could enhance the overall performance and stability of the devices.
It is worth noting that Samsung has already introduced the One UI 7 beta update for the Galaxy A55 in some countries, and soon, it will get the stable update. Meanwhile, the Galaxy A54 is also eligible to get the Android 15-based major update in the next few days.
Coming to the latest update, if you are using the Galaxy A55 or Galaxy A54 in the above-mentioned regions, then you should check for the latest update from the system update menu via system settings. In case if you don’t receive any update yet then wait for some time as it is gradually expanding to more devices.
