April 2025 security patch for Galaxy S21 FE and Galaxy A55 is live for non-beta users

Samsung is constantly working to provide new updates for its Galaxy devices, and according to the current scenario, it is rolling out the One UI 7 stable update and also running the beta update for some devices. The Galaxy A55 device is also one of them to get beta now. It is getting a new April patch update for non-beta users. Along with this, the Galaxy S21 FE is also getting the new security patch.

Samsung is rolling out the April 2025 security patch for the Galaxy S21 FE and Galaxy A55. The update is currently spotted in India with the firmware version numbers G990B2XXSBGYC9 and A556EXXS7AYC8, respectively. It comes with the standard changelog, which doesn’t indicate any significant changes about the update but it will improve the overall security of the devices.

Samsung launched the Galaxy S21 FE back in 2022 with Android 12, later, the device received two major updates in the form of Android 13 and Android 14. Since the device is eligible to get four major updates so it will get two more major updates in the coming days. Meanwhile, the Galaxy A55 was released last year with Android 14, and this device also arrived with a promise to get four major updates, so it will get new updates up to Android 18.
