Samsung ended software support for these Galaxy devices in May 2025

Right after pushing the latest May 2025 security patch for the Galaxy S25 series, Samsung has finally released the details regarding its latest security patch bulletin for the entire Galaxy ecosystem. Now, users will know exactly what all has been fixed. At the same time, a few devices have also been removed from the eligibility to get patches in future.

Well, Samsung maintains a dedicated software update policy that allows Galaxy devices to hold an eligibility or deadline till the device is supposed to get the major OS updates or just the security patches. Meanwhile, once the deadline is crossed, the company stops providing any further updates in future, thus ending software support.

End of software support for Galaxy A52 4G and A82 5G:

Similarly, as Samsung has recently published the details of the latest May 2025 security patch, it has further revealed that a few Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy A52 4G Enterprise edition, and the Galaxy A82 5G have been removed from the software (security) update list. Therefore, these devices are now ineligible to receive any updates in the future.

Specifically, the latest May patch brought about a lot of significant fixes for all the security vulnerabilities that have been addressed in the previous updates, while also integrating security patches from both Google and Samsung collectively.

This not only focuses on improving the device’s overall security and core functionality, but also provides a smoother and efficient user experience.
