Samsung Wallet Tap to transfer is now available in the US

Finally, Samsung Wallet’s Tap to Transfer feature started rolling out in the US market, showcasing the punctuality of the company.

A few days back, Samsung officially announced that it would expand the Tap to Transfer feature in the US by the end of this month, and today, the last day of the month, it has finally released the feature.

Initially, last year, the company launched the feature in South Korea, and now has expanded in the US. This feature allows Galaxy users to send money to the bank accounts of their friends or known ones just by tapping their phones together or by tapping a friend’s participating contactless debit card.

One of the most convenient facts of the feature is that it works even if the person you are sending money to does not have Samsung Wallet. Samsung has added another layer of convenience as it has made it possible to send money remotely.

This means that in case you cannot meet in person, you can search for someone’s phone number in the Samsung Wallet application and send money that way. Noticeably, there’s a limitation as not every bank or debit card is compatible with working right away. It’s also possible that some banks might charge fees or set limits on transfers.

You can easily send money via the Tap to Transfer feature by navigating a few steps: Open Samsung Wallet >> go to Quick access >> find your debit card >> Tap to transfer.

Once you’re done with these steps, enter the amount and click on Done. In case the recipient has a physical card, you can place their card on the back of your phone, or if they use a phone, have them open their digital wallet, select their debit card, and tap the back of their phone to your phone. When the Confirm button pops up, check the details and verify with your fingerprint or PIN.
