One UI 8 development begins for Galaxy Tab S9 series

Samsung is about to wrap up the on UI 7 stable update rollout, while reports have already started emerging that the company has begun the development of its next major OS, One UI 8, for a few Galaxy devices.
Now, fresh Geekbench listings for the Galaxy Tab S9 series suggest that One UI 8 is in the making for the previous generation tablets.
It appears that Samsung is on a roll regarding the development of One UI 8 for the Galaxy Tablets. Previously, the Galaxy Tab S10 series appeared on the Geekbench listings, showing off the scores running on Android 16 (One UI 8); meanwhile, this time, a new report claims that One UI 8 for the Galaxy Tab S9, Galaxy S9+ and Galaxy S9 Ultra already in the development; thanks to the user, Alfaturk on X.

Specifically, through the Geekbench listings, it can be seen that the Galaxy Tab S9+ running on Android 16, showcasing impressive scores.
However, it’s not yet clear that Samsung will release One UI 8 beta for the Galaxy Tab S10 lineup, but also seeing the strange things that happened in the recent past that were not expected at all.
Well, the Galaxy S25 family is already testing the latest Android 16-based One UI 8 beta in a few regions. However, the Galaxy Tab S9 series is not at all eligible for One UI 8 beta, but this time it could get the update earlier than the traditional timeline of older major updates.
