Samsung launched its top-notch mid-tier Galaxy A56 alongside two more A series devices, making them the first-ever devices to arrive with an all-new Awesome Intelligence, a feature that is a toned-down version of the Galaxy AI suite. Meanwhile, the higher one, the Galaxy A56, has started receiving a new update, but that’s only a minor security update.
The company has started rolling out the July 2025 security update for the Galaxy A56 models in Europe and is expected to reach more countries gradually. The latest firmware is identified with the version number A566BXXS5AYFA.

More specifically, the latest update for the Galaxy A56 integrates the July security patch, which, however, doesn’t bring any major features and changes; instead, it apparently improves the device’s overall security and core functionality. It brings a handful of fixes for the vulnerabilities that have been addressed in the earlier versions to provide a more secure user experience and keep the device safe against sophisticated threats.
As of now, the update was spotted going live in Europe’s Italy and is expected to reach across the European countries alongside global regions in the near future.
Well, Samsung also appeared to be testing Android’s 16KB memory page size on the Galaxy A56 via the Remote Test Lab. However, such changes happen behind closed doors and are not noticeable at the same time. For now, Samsung is currently working on the development of One UI 8, while various Galaxy devices have already been spotted running the OS’s internal test build as well.
