Galaxy Z Fold 8 Tipped to Feature Truly Crease-Free Foldable Screen

Samsung’s next-generation foldable phone, the Galaxy Z Fold 8, is supposed to compete with Apple’s foldable iPhone and is now anticipated to feature a true crease-free display.
Recently, Samsung launched the seventh-generation foldable phones, including the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, featuring a super-slim design, bigger display, advanced AI tools, upgraded camera, and whatnot that a flagship-level phone should have.
It’s not even a month since Samsung launched the Galaxy Z Fold 7, and new leaks and rumors have already started talking about the Galaxy Z Fold 8. A tipster, Ming-Chi Kuo, on X shared a post claiming that Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Fold phone will feature a laser-drilled metal display plate.
If the claims come into existence, then this new technology will be significant for the phone, as it will allow it to disperse the stress generated by bending the screen, allowing the screen to be crease-free.
The crease is one of the constant concerns of Samsung regarding foldable phones since the original Galaxy Fold; however, over the years, the visibility of the crease has decreased but has yet to disappear completely.
The new component will reportedly be supplied to Samsung by the South Korean firm Fine M-Tec. Whereas the competent will also supply the component to Apple for the first foldable iPhone, which is also rumored to launch in the second half of next year. This means that the Galaxy Z Fold 8 is supposed to clash with its rival, Apple’s foldable iPhone.
Recently, it’s also been reported that Apple’s iPhone Fold is to feature Samsung’s near-invisible crease OLED panel. However, it’s quite early to discuss the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and iPhone Fold, as there are no official details regarding both devices yet, and they’re nearly a year away from launch.
