While most of the Galaxy users are already enjoying the August 2025 security update in several countries, Samsung is continuing with the expansion of the August 2025 security update for even more eligible Galaxy devices. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Tab S10 FE series units have started receiving the latest update for the first time.
Basically, Samsung’s 10th generation S series Fan Edition tablets finally join the list of ongoing August 2025 security updates among several other Galaxy devices. Also, the update now hits Galaxy Tab S10 FE and Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ in Europe and Latin America and is expected to expand to more countries over the coming weeks.
The latest firmware for the Galaxy Tab S10 FE has been identified with a new version number, X520XXS4AYG5 (for the Latin American Wi-Fi variant) and X526BXXS4AYH3 (for the European 5G variant), while the Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ holds the X620XXS4AYG5 version number (for the European Wi-Fi variant) and X626BXXS4AYH1 (for the European 5G model).
More specifically, Samsung’s monthly Android security updates are significantly meant to strengthen overall system security instead of bringing any major features or changes. It brings several key improvements for the device’s security and core functionality that aim to deliver a more secure user experience while also protecting the device against potential threats.
At the same time, the update further adds stability to the system behavior for a more efficient performance and brings certain optimizations to the overall performance.
Well, Samsung is currently working on expanding its ongoing One UI 8 beta program to even more Galaxy devices, with the S24 series alongside Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 owners already testing the beta build. Also, the Galaxy Tab S10 FE is also eligible for the beta build, but it remains to be seen whether Samsung delivers the beta update or directly serves the stable One UI 8 build.
