One UI 8 Update: Internal Builds Show Which Galaxy Devices Will Get It First

Samsung is indeed making hard efforts in releasing its newest major OS, One UI 8, in the right timeline that will run Android 16 on top, while also avoiding repeating the same mistakes done with One UI 7, which was delayed since its initial phase.

Meanwhile, it appears like the blurry picture is getting clear now, as the company is performing internal One UI 8 beta testing on several devices, providing a slight hint that Samsung’s One UI 8 beta rollout will be huge to watch out for!

Since Samsung has already clarified that the ongoing One UI 8 beta program will be expanded to even more Galaxy devices, now, apart from the ones listed officially, the One UI 8 beta rollout could possibly pass onto some more eligible models, thanks to the ongoing One UI 8 beta internal testing.

Well, Samsung’s new generation foldables, Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7, debuted with the stable One UI 8 on board. At the same time, the Galaxy S24 series alongside Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 already started testing the first One UI 8 beta build, which will indeed be expanded to more Galaxy devices sequentially over a course of time.

Galaxy devices undergoing One UI 8 internal testing:

Therefore, since there’s no official list of entire Galaxy models, we can get a slight hint via guessing which devices are eligible for the One UI 8 version by looking at which models the internal test is being performed for, and thus, check out the list:

S series

  • Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra
  • Samsung Galaxy S23+
  • Samsung Galaxy S23 (including S23 FE)
  • Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra
  • Samsung Galaxy S22+
  • Samsung Galaxy S22 (whereas a test build has not yet been spotted for the S22 FE)
  • Samsung Galaxy S21 FE

Z series

  • Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5
  • Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5
  • Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4
  • Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4

A series

  • Samsung Galaxy A56
  • Samsung Galaxy A55
  • Samsung Galaxy A54
  • Samsung Galaxy A73
  • Samsung Galaxy A36
  • Samsung Galaxy A35
  • Samsung Galaxy A33
  • Samsung Galaxy A26

M series

  • Samsung Galaxy M34

Galaxy Tablets

  • Samsung Galaxy Tab S10+
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra (including the Tab S10 FE)
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab S9+
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab S9
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro

Note: It’s yet to be clarified whether all the above-mentioned Galaxy devices will be eligible for the One UI 8 beta program; at the same time, they could perhaps get directly the stable version instead.

Also, the Galaxy S21 series is not included in the list, as the lineup is already out of its reserved software update policy, and thus, it will not be eligible for the One UI 8 update. Nevertheless, Samsung is already undergoing One UI 8 testing internally, which eventually hints at a timely yet faster One UI rollout than before.
