Samsung’s August 2025 Security Update lands on Galaxy S22 series

Samsung is currently busy with the expansion of its latest Android 16-based One UI 8 beta program to even more Galaxy devices; at the same time, the company is delivering the ongoing August 2025 security update to all of its eligible models across the world. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S22 series finally joins the party.
Specifically, Samsung is rolling out a new update for the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra models that significantly integrates the August 2025 security update and is identified with the version numbers S901NKSS7FYG8, S906NKSS7FYG8, and S908NKSS7FYG8, respectively.
Also, starting with South Korea, the update for the Galaxy S22 series will be expanded to more eligible countries over the coming weeks.
At the same time, as usual, Samsung’s Android monthly security update doesn’t bring any major features and changes; instead, it significantly focuses on improving the system’s overall security and core functionality. It fixes all the issues and security vulnerabilities that were addressed in the earlier version in order to offer a more secure user experience, while also protecting the device against potential threats.
Additionally, the update further adds stability to the system behavior and brings certain performance optimizations to provide more efficient functionality to the users.
Well, Samsung’s One UI 8 progress is in full swing, with the Galaxy S24 series alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 models already being tested in the ongoing One UI 8 beta program, while more eligible Galaxy devices will join the latest beta program sequentially in the coming future, and the Galaxy S25 family will start receiving the stable One UI 8 version at the same time.
