Galaxy S26 models may not bring a notable selfie camera upgrade

Samsung Galaxy S26 series is coming next year in late January; meanwhile, a new leak reveals that it could skip any major selfie camera upgrade.

The Korean tech giant is now looking forward to launching the next-generation Galaxy S26 series as the successor to the Galaxy S25 series. According to a recently leaked report, the upcoming lineup will include four models, as mentioned below:

A tech journalist, Roland Quandt, reveals that Samsung is not considering offering any major upgrade to the selfie camera of the Galaxy S26 lineup, as it will come with a 12MP selfie camera with an f/2.2 autofocus.

Noticeably, the company has been using this camera for the last three generations, including the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S24, and Galaxy S25 series. Now, again, it seems to be using the camera for the upcoming flagship models.

However, there’s no official statement regarding this report yet. It will be interesting to see whether the company will offer any front camera upgrade to the Galaxy S26 models. A report revealed that Samsung taps MCNEX as the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s periscope camera supplier. The Pro model of the lineup, Galaxy S26 Pro, is also rumored to bring impressive camera upgrades.
