August 2022 Security Firmware Available For Galaxy S22 Carrier-Unlocked Variant In The US

Last week, Samsung released the August update for the Galaxy S22 series for Carrier Locked (T-Mobile) variant. Now the firmware received as an OTA in the USA for carrier-unlocked version.

The August 2022 Security Patch can be identified with firmware identifier no. S90*U1UEU2AVG8. Where the * varies by model, and will be a 1 for the Galaxy S22, a 6 for the Galaxy S22+, and an 8 for the Galaxy S22 Ultra. Which fixes a series of vulnerabilities and errors that have not yet been detailed by the Korean brand, since it has not yet published the security bulletin for this update.

According to Samsung’s and Google’s report, its August 2022 security patch fixes dozens of vulnerabilities related to user privacy and data security, such as Bluetooth connectivity, Samsung DeX, Samsung dialer, Desktop System UI, Wi-Fi service, and more.

Users can also check for the latest software update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install or turning auto-updates or notifications on in the settings of your device.
