Samsung is now all set to release its upcoming flagship Galaxy S23 series, which is expected on February 1st, 2023; no official confirmation yet. With the launch of this series, there is one more major update for which users are waiting eagerly. Notably, the One UI 5.1, lined up to officially be introduced with the Galaxy S23 series, is another most awaited launch beside the series. If you are unaware of One UI 5.1’s specifications and more, you can get the complete information in this post.

One UI 5.1: Let’s take a brief look

The One UI 5.1 is an updated version of Samsung’s most recent skin, One UI 5.0. For obvious reasons, One UI 5.1 will also have abilities for deeper customizations as its predecessor. According to the information received so far, the One UI 5.1 will come with numerous customization features, new security features, and enhanced multitasking features (only for devices running on One UI 4.1.1). There is also a place for slight modifications and newer specifications.

Is your device eligible for One UI 5.1?

Exactly as the One UI 5.0, the One UI 5.1 is also based on Android 13. So it is clear that all the devices having Android 13 will be eligible for it also. However, many of us need clarification about the device for which the Android 13+One UI 5.1 was the last major OS update. The question is, are those still eligible for One UI 5.1 or not? The answer is clearly Yes. Because One UI 5.1 also requires Android 13, there will be no issue for them to get this update, as they already have the required OS.

List of the devices which may receive the One UI 5.1

After One UI 5.1’s official launch with the Galaxy S23 series, other eligible Galaxy devices will also get it soon. As per the expectations, besides the flagship series, the One UI 5.1 will be rolled out to other Galaxy smartphones in March or April.

The A-32 will probably receive it as well in the US because i see on T-Mobile’s website that it’s being developed along with all of the other devices you are listing. The reason I mention it is because my wife has the A-32

Currently, the Galaxy S20FE devices are receiving the update in the form August 2023 security patch.

The latest security patch doesn’t bring any innovation to the device, but it brings some minor increment for the improvements of the security of the devices. At the moment, Samsung still needs to publish a detailed bulletin of the update, so we can’t say exactly how many fixes were made in this update.

The August security patch is now rolling out in some countries, including Panama, Bolivia, Brazil, Guatemala, Paraguay, and Trinidad & Tobago. All the Galaxy S20FE users who belong to the mentioned countries will get the update through OTA.

The new update for Galaxy S20FE is now live in the countries mentioned above, but due to the limitation of the server, it will be distributed to users batch-wise, which means some users will get it on the same day of release while others will get it in the next few days.

Users who own S20FE should get the notification on their devices shortly; once the notification arrives, you can easily update your device by tapping it and installing it through the software update menu. Alternatively, users can check the update availability manually by going to the software update option by the device’s main Settings.
