How the Galaxy Z Fold 5 Would Redefine Foldable Phones with its Game-Changing Features

Even though the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will be released only after several months, leaked renderings have given us a clear sense of its looks. The prototype reveals that the device closely resembles Galaxy Z Fold 4. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 transparent cover is depicted in the leaked pictures as being two halves. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 looks to have the same overall form factor and screen size as the Galaxy Z Fold 4.

Additionally, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is said to include an upgraded water drop hinge and an IP58 rating, which both improve the folding experience. Some exclusive features of Galaxy Z Fold 5 make it the best foldable phone among all other foldable ones.

Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 will have Android 13-based One UI 5.1.1

Gapless, thin, foldable form: Samsung’s foldable have never been able to fold completely flat, leaving a gap at the folding point that increases a device’s thickness. Galaxy Z Fold 4 measures 6.3mm when unfurled and, because of the gap, thickens to 15.8mm at its thickest point. It’s true that Samsung has solved this problem by redesigning its water hinge mechanism, and the Z Fold 5 can now compete with Xiaomi and Huawei’s slimmest smartphones without looking over bulky.

Crease display: Noticeable crease is one of the biggest flaws in foldable smartphones; earlier, it was considered to be a necessary sacrifice, but not now. Galaxy Z Fold 5 has a water drop design which sees the display tuck into a cavity built into the hinge where it can fold at a softer angle, thereby avoiding display crease.

Best possible camera system: The Galaxy Z Fold 4’s camera system is essentially the same system used on the standard Galaxy S22, And with the Fold 5, Samsung would stop holding back the optics in its most premium phone and just give us the best camera technology possible. Users expect 10x space zoom in the Fold 5.

Wide aspect ratio: Samsung is thinking about making the Fold 5 a little bit broader so that when it is folded, it seems more like a standard phone. Galaxy Z Fold 4 outer screen is so small for comfortable texting in applications.
