Samsung brings October 2023 update for Galaxy XCover 6 Pro and XCover 5
Samsung is one of the top companies that is always active in distributing new updates for its devices, including smartwatches, smartphones, and tablets. Currently, the company is busy expanding the October 2023 update for its devices. It has updated almost every popular device, but still, there are some devices like XCover 6 Pro and XCover 5 that are now getting new updates.
Notably, Samsung has rolled out new firmware updates in the US and Europe; more specifically, the locked variant of the Galaxy XCover 6 Pro is getting a new update with firmware version number G736USQS7CWJ1, while the European units of the Galaxy XCover 6 Pro are receiving the update with firmware version number G736BXXS5CWJ2. The Galaxy XCover 5 is getting a new update in Europe with firmware version number G525FXXS9CWI1.
The October 2023 update is a standard security patch update that doesn’t bring any new features or significant changes for the devices, but being a security patch, it aims to enhance the overall security of the Galaxy devices.
According to the official documentation, the latest patch comes with more than 40 fixes; 34 are included by Google, which resolves the issues found in the Android system, and Samsung has also added 12 extra patches that will fix the overall security vulnerability found in the Galaxy devices.
Moreover, the latest security patch may also include some fixes that enhance the overall device performance and stability. So if you are having any issues with your device that are related to software, you should update it to the latest version, which may fix them and provide a more smooth experience.
If you want to update your device to the latest version, go to the settings and select software update, then click on the Download and Install option. Next, it will search for updates available; if it says a new update is available, then tap on the download button.
