Samsung has rolled out the new update for the Galaxy Z Flip LTE and Galaxy Z Flip 5G; however, this is not a significant update; it is a monthly security update that is coming in the form of an October 2023 patch. It is worth noticing that the latest security patch is already available for almost all flagship Galaxy devices across the world.
The October 2023 update is the latest security patch for Galaxy devices, which will bring several new enhancements to security. In detail, the latest patch comes with more than 40 fixes; 34 are included by Google, which resolves the issues found in the Android system, and Samsung has also added 12 extra patches that will fix the overall security vulnerability found in the Galaxy devices.
The latest update for Galaxy Z Flip LTE and Galaxy Z Flip 5G is now live in the US. The locked unit of Galaxy Z Flip LTE is getting an update on Sprint’s network, which is coming with firmware version number F700USQU8JWI2, while the unlocked variants of Galaxy Z Flip LTE and Galaxy Z Flip 5G are getting firmware version numbers F707U1UEU6IWI2 and F700U1TBU8JWI2, respectively.
The Galaxy Z Flip LTE and Galaxy Z Flip 5G were introduced back in 2020, but in different months, February and July, respectively. However, after a 5-month gap between both devices, they came with Android 10 preinstalled, and later both devices received three major updates, which were promised by Samsung. Now these devices are no longer eligible for any major updates, but they will still get more updates in the form of security patches.
