The flagship Galaxy S23 series has started receiving the much-awaited One UI 6, which is based on Android 14. Samsung has officially revealed the list of compatible devices that will receive the upgrade in the upcoming months. Emojis have been upgraded, the camera has reportedly been improved, and more is included in the latest version. Samsung has released a short list that indicates the flagships from the last several years, foldables, and a few A-series smartphones will be the first to receive Android 14. Thankfully, Samsung saves the day by indirectly confirming which smartphone models will formally get One UI 6.0 with Android 14.
This information about One UI 6.0 in the photography industry is derived from its official announcement. Samsung set which models would get the new photography features there, obliquely revealing which models will get this significant update. Samsung reveals the devices that would receive the One UI 6.0 upgrade while discussing the new capabilities coming to “Enhance-X”.
Samsung confirms Galaxy devices eligible for One UI 6.0 and Android 14 update

- Galaxy S22 series
- Galaxy S21 series
Most of the lineups in the Galaxy Z series have been covered, which is quite a surprise. Several models from the recent and older versions of foldables will receive the newer version of OS.
- Galaxy Z Fold 5
- Galaxy Z Fold 4
- Galaxy Z Fold 3
- Galaxy Z Fold 2
- Galaxy Z Flip 5
- Galaxy Z Flip 4
- Galaxy Z Flip 3
Now coming to the mid-range of lineup Galaxy models, Samsung has framed a good list, including,
- Galaxy A54
- Galaxy A53
- Galaxy A34
- Galaxy A33
- Galaxy M54
- Galaxy M53

If the new update follows the tradition of the Android 13 release from the previous year, then One UI 6 will reach these devices eventually, and probably very fast. But for the time being, we still have to wait for Samsung to launch Android 14 for the S23 series in the US region, which is quoted as soon. Further, in the meantime, we can expect a lot of devices to be added to the list to receive the upgrade.
Will Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy S20 get Android 14 update?
The Galaxy Note 20 and the Galaxy S20 won’t be getting the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update. Even though Samsung talked about those devices in its article about One UI 6, they will only receive some Galaxy Enhance-X features. In the fine print at the bottom of the article, Samsung clarified that the Galaxy Enhance-X features mentioned in the article will be available on devices running One UI 6.0 or later, including the Galaxy S20 and the Galaxy Note 20.
