Galaxy S24 Ultra Probably Get A New Support; Car Crash Detection

Samsung has packed the Galaxy S24 series with some exclusive features, improvements, and changes as compared to the previous flagship series. But the fact is, among the three devices—the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra—the Galaxy S24 Ultra is the most premium one that has some ordinary features, maybe one of which is car crash detection.

First and foremost, Google has pioneered the car crash detection feature on smartphones and debuted on the Pixel 4. After that, it was expected that, apart from Pixel devices, more Android manufacturers would also adopt this feature, but the expectation hasn’t come true yet.

But now Samsung is expected to reverse this car crash detection by developing its own car crash detection on its Galaxy smartphones. At the moment, it is known that Samsung will probably activate this feature on the Galaxy S24 in the future.

This is being speculated by a developer, who is indicating that inactive car crash detection might arrive on the Galaxy S24 series. Firstly, he found a hidden sensor on the Galaxy S24 Ultra and suggested it as ‘Crash Detect Wakeup’, which is the similar sensor that appeared on the Galaxy Z Fold 5.

The sensor was described as a virtual or composite sensor, which means that it is not a dedicated hardware component. In general, it has come to be known that the program is not unable to directly detect accidents but uses existing sensors, such as accelerometers, to summarize them. It just works on the basis of analyzing data from these sensors along with particular criteria for determining whether the car crash has occurred or not.
