Samsung Voice Recorder gets enhanced with a new update v21.5.40.37

Samsung has rolled out a new update for the Voice Recorder application, which is coming with the version number 21.5.40.37.

With the latest update, the company has attached any specific change log with the update, but we hope that the company will provide some improvement to the security of the device with the working of the functionalities.

It is worth noticing that the latest update of the Voice Recorder application is available for Galaxy devices that are running on Android 10 or above.

If you are also using the device with the same specifications, then you should start getting the update. To check it, you can easily search the voice recorder application on the Galaxy Store. If you find a new update available, tap on the update button.

Samsung Voice Recorder is an advanced voice recorder that allows the user to record their voice in different modes according to their preference. For instance, if you want to record an interview, you can select the dedicated mode, and the application will adapt and record it accordingly.

Similarly, there are two more modes of appliance, including standard, which allows normal recording, and voice memo, which allows the user to record the voice and then convert it to screen text. So if you want to enjoy all these features with consistent performance, then you should keep the application up-to-date.

Google could integrate Circle to Search feature with Google Lens

Published

on

Initially, Samsung introduced Circle to Search with Google on its recently launched Galaxy S24 series within the Galaxy AI title. Later, Google also made this feature available on its Pixel phones. Now it seems that Circle to Search could simplify Android search by letting users draw around topics or images.

Circle to Search is a new feature from Google for Android smartphones. This lets you search any content, like text or images, from the display by just circling it, without even switching between the apps.

This eliminates the need to open a web browser and type out a search query, making it a more instant and convenient way to find what you are looking for.

Currently, Circle to Search is only available on countable Samsung and Google Pixel devices. It has already been reported that this feature is on the verge of integrating with Google Chrome through the Lens UI.

The new report from the Android Authority suggests that Google is looking forward to bringing the Circle to Search feature to Google Lens. If the report is to be believed, Google Lens might get a Circle to Search feature soon.

When in Assemble Debug mode, Google Lens showcased a message about searching the screen directly, which is how Circle to Search activates on some Android phones.

However, the brand has yet to make an make an official announcement regarding this report. Some XML files refer to pill-based gesture navigation, but the feature is incomplete yet.

At the moment, the Circle to Search feature for Google Lens is in the development phase. Currently, the feature is limited to a three-button navigation bar, but Google may make changes to this once it’s ready for end users.

Google Translate Now Supports 110 Additional Languages

Published

Google Translate is a part of Google Workspace. It is a web-based, free-to-use translation service developed by Google in April 2006. It translates several forms of text and media, for instance, words, phrases, or web pages. Now, to enhance the service, Google has announced that it is adding 110 more new languages.

A couple of weeks ago, the brand added support for 24 new languages to it; now, to add an extra layer of convenience, it is bringing the total number of supported languages to 243. However, Google has never added as many languages to Google Translate as it is doing now. On the comparison side, Apple Translate supports only 20 languages, and Microsoft Translator supports 135 languages. That gives Google an upper hand among the top three players.

Google has achieved this feat with the help of the company’s PaLM2 large language model. A few notable, newly supported languages include Afar, Cantonese, Manx, NKo, Punjabi (Shahmukhi), Tamazinght (Amazigh), and Tok Pisin. Regarding this, the giant stated that the 110 newly added languages “represent more than 614 million speakers, opening up translations for around 8% of the world’s population.”

In addition, Google also stated that “some are major world languages with over 100 million speakers. Others are spoken by small communities of Indigenous people, and a few have almost no native speakers but active revitalization efforts.”

A quarter of the 110 languages come from Africa, including Fon, Kikongo, Luo, Ga, Swati, Venda, and Wolfo. These additions make this the largest expansion of African languages on Google Translate yet.
