Samsung’s Z-shaped trifold G Flip is also coming

Samsung is yet to debut the Galaxy G Fold (Tri-fold) smartphone, meanwhile, a new patent for the Galaxy G Flip (tri-flip) already appeared online.

The Korean tech giant is supposed to debut its ever-first tri-fold phone called Galaxy G Fold by the end of this year. Meanwhile, now a new report suggests that the company is also working on a tri-flip phone; Galaxy G Flip.

A report from 91mobiles revealed that Samsung filed a new patent with the dedicated number D1066324 that revealed a Z-shaped trifold display device that might called a Galaxy G Flip. The device has two hinges, that will make a Z-shape while opening the displays.

Reportedly, this would be an ornamental design, and if it ever ends up as a commercial product, it could command a high price for sure. The design looks like a rectangular handheld slab, while the bezels are minimal on their longer sides.

However, the design currently only appeared in the patent so it will be interesting to see whether this design will come into existence as a commercial product. Currently, Samsung is anticipated to debut the Galaxy Z Fold 7 & Galaxy Z Flip 7, and Galaxy Z Flip FE foldable phones at the Galaxy Unpacked event.

Recently it was reported that Samsung is expected to debut the Galaxy G Fold later Galaxy Unpacked event, which is rumored to be available in selected markets.
