Galaxy Watches and Buds to get Gemini support

Samsung Galaxy wearable product (watch and buds) users, get ready to experience an even smarter voice assistant, as the Gemini is coming to Galaxy Watch and Buds.

A few days back, it was reported that Google is set to replace Google Assistant with Gemini on smartwatches powered by Wear OS later this year. Now, via its newsroom, Samsung confirmed that Google Gemini is coming to Galaxy Watches and Buds.

According to Samsung, activating Gemini will be smoother than ever when paired with the Galaxy Buds 3 series. This new integration will expand the AI features across the entire Galaxy ecosystem.

Now, Galaxy Watch and Buds users can easily get hands-free assistance (Gemini) using natural voice commands to stay productive on the move. While running on the treadmill at the gym, users just have to ask Gemini to “Remember I’m using locker 43 today,” which will help them focus on their workout without a second thought.

Gemini on watches will be more convenient in particular scenarios; for instance, in case your hands are tied up carrying something, and you receive an important email, Gemini can summarize it for a quick overview. For this, you have to ask, “Summatize my last email.”

On the other side, Gemini on Galaxy Buds will perform even more seamlessly. Buds users can activate Gemini by voice or pinch and hold controls.  However, Samsung hasn’t revealed the exact date for this interaction, and it’s also not clear whether all Galaxy watches and buds will be eligible for this.
