Google showcases the Material 3 Expressive UI Design, arriving on Android this summer

Google is highly known for its iconic Material You theme across most of its apps and services. Well, it’s already leaked that Google is going to introduce a new Material 3 Expressive UI design for Android; meanwhile, the company has officially revealed the entire look of the design, which is arriving this summer.
Basically, a few days back, Google has hurriedly leaked the latest Material 3 Expressive UI design and key changes via its blog post, but finally, the company has just made it official through The Android Show, while also revealing all the essential UI changes coming to Android this summer.
As this timeframe is to be believed, then probably Samsung Galaxy devices will receive the newest Material 3 Expressive UI design somewhere in June 2025, while this is also supposed to mark the beginning of the One UI 8 beta program as it’s going to run Android 16 on top.
At the same time, Google itself revealed that the new M3 Expressive UI is the most updated design of Google’s system so far. It brings some noticeable upgrades and changes as everything looks smooth and far better than before. The key highlights of this design are Colour, Shape, Size, Motion and Containment which will offer a more efficient user experience.
Well, Google is working on initiating the Material You theme more widely on Android and even Android Auto has received the Material You coloring theme. On the other hand, the next I/O Developer conference will be conducted on May 20th, revealing various upgrades regarding Android 16, Gemini integration and more.
