Samsung Could Kick Off One UI 8 Beta Program Before Month’s End

One UI 8, Samsung’s next major operating system, which is supposed to run Android 16 on top, appears to be hitting its early stages of development. Meanwhile, a recent report suggests that Samsung may begin the One UI 8 Beta program this month!

According to the information provided by Sammobile, Samsung seems to be looking forward to initiating the One UI 8 beta program beginning by the end of May, while also asserting that the company is planning to launch the One UI 8 update publicly by the third Quarter of this year.

Even though the beta program is reported to begin at the end of May, the program seems to be limited to a few markets, while wider availability for the One UI 8 beta program is expected by June, 2025 as a big surprise for the Galaxy family.

Similarly, another report from an X user, Tarun Vats, suggests that the first-ever One UI 8 beta build running on Galaxy S25 models has been spotted on the test server, which eventually hints that Samsung is getting ready for a major launch of its next major OS, One UI 8. Also, the entire Galaxy community is going to witness One UI 8’s first beta probably sooner than they think.

Specifically, Android 16’s progress is looking impressive as the version has already entered into its final stage of platform stability and if this goes smoothly, then Google will launch the stable Android 16 update somewhere in June. On the comparison side, if the reports suggesting Samsung’s One UI 8 progress are believed to be true then the Galaxy devices will receive Android 16 on time.
