Samsung Officially Announced Android 16-based One UI 8 Beta Program

Samsung unveiled its next major OS, One UI 8, which is available for early access via the Beta program and currently open for the Galaxy S25 series to test it out. While Samsung announces the latest beta program, it also showcases how the company has worked on and integrated the best and smartest UI and user experience.

One UI 8 is optimized well to acquire a more personalized mobile experience while also designing it to adopt some essential functionalities of Android 16 on top.

Samsung just took it to the official newsroom page to inform about the arrival of the latest Android 16-based One UI 8 beta program for the current Galaxy S series. At the same time, the company showed off a few intriguing aspects that are going to take the user experience to the next level when the official (stable) rollout begins.

First up, One UI 8 will trigger AI experiences on the basis of three factors: smarter multimodals, updated UX, and offering personalized suggestions. It brings a more improved Now Bar and Now Brief that will provide more personalized insights while also securing the details via Samsung Knox Vault that ensures the user’s privacy without any risk of data breach.

Beyond this, One UI 8 further brings a new broadcast audio technology named Auracast, which will be based on Bluetooth LE Audio for a seamless audio connection via QR code scanning and sharing. At the same time, the Reminder app now supports more convenient and intuitive features, while the Quick Share also gets a small revamp, while also allowing users to pull it off via the Quick Settings panel with a single tap.

Well, the One UI 8 Beta program is currently available for the Galaxy S25 owners to test out the latest build; meanwhile, Samsung also confirmed that the next-generation Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 will debut with One UI 8 under the hood.
