Samsung is actively working on its Project Moohan (XR Headset) to debut soon, but not at the July Unpacked 2025 event, as a new report suggests.
Initially, earlier this year, in January at the Unpacked event, Samsung offered the first glimpse at the Android-powered XR headset alongside the Galaxy S25 launch. Over time, the company teased the headset many times on different occasions. Google has already confirmed the Project Moohan XR headset launch timeline, according to which Samsung will officially launch the headset later this year.
A few days back, a tipster, PandaFlash, shared a post on X that revealed Samsung is tipped to launch Project Moohan during the July Unpacked 2025 event, but that’s not the case anymore, as the new report suggests. A reliable tipster, @MaxJmb, has recently disproved the previous report that the Korean tech giant will officially launch its first-ever XR headset next month at the Unpacked event by stating ‘Nah.’
Although in the comment section, PandaFlash replied on ‘Nah’ that Samsung will only showcase the device at the event to tease fans, but won’t reveal all specifications, as it will keep the key details under wraps.
The above discussion revealed that Samsung will not launch its Project Moohan at the July Unpacked event, but give a little glimpse at the device to tease fans. Since Samsung has yet to release any official launch timeline of its XR headset, so it remains to see what will happen next.
