Samsung mocked Apple for iPhone’s non-foldable screen support

Published

on

Mocking the Californian giant, Apple has become more like a trend nowadays. Along with Samsung, various other OEMs also mock Apple because of its influence on the tech market, but Samsung made it a habit often. Even just a while ago, Samsung teased Apple for iPhone’s basic design, and now in such a short span, another Apple mocking ad came from Samsung’s end. Again this time, they have teased Apple for not having a foldable screen on the iPhone. Notably, the mocking has been going on for years. Now, let’s take a brief look at the advertisement uploaded by Samsung.

The South Korean company Samsung has uploaded a video advertisement on the Chinese social networking platform Weibo. In this ad, we can see a football ground, where a match is going on, and the audience is sitting on the roofs to cheer their dream teams. However, it is an animated video and is slightly different because the company has pursued the Galaxy Z Flip 4 as their video characters- players and audience. Although a few normal non-foldable smartphone devices were also sitting in the crowd, they were unable to cheer their team as others due to the lack of foldable property.

The non-foldable phone characters are sad by looking at others because they are not able to cheer their dream team with the upside-down moment, similar to the Galaxy Z Flip 4 characters. However, they didn’t clarify that the non-foldable device is iPhone, but it is assumed to probably be it. Well, it is not the first time when Apple has been mocked, but Samsung has been teasing them for years, if not forgotten the ad in which Samsung teases the iPhone X over its notch by showing a man (iPhone user) with a notch-like haircut. Undoubtedly, it was the biggest dedicated mocking of Apple.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is next in line to debut in early 2025 and is expected to feature a 3000 nits OLED display.

Samsung is all set to debut its sixth-generation foldable smartphone with the Galaxy Watch 7 series and the Galaxy Ring at the Galaxy Unpacked event in July. On another note, it is setting up to expand its flagship S series by introducing the Galaxy S25 series, which includes three variants: Ultra, Plus, and Base.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra Could Reportedly Bring 3000 Nits OLED Display

Now the reports are reporting that the Galaxy S25 Ultra could have a 3000 nits OLED display. Whereas its predecessor, the Galaxy S24 Ultra, features 2600 units of peak brightness panels, This means that the Galaxy S25 Ultra would arrive with 400 nits more as compared to the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

A post on X was shared by a tipster claiming that Samsung is gearing up to bring an upgraded display with 3000 nits of peak brightness to the Galaxy S25 Ultra. The rest of the two variants—the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25 Plus—may use a similar panel with 2600 nits of brightness since the entire Galaxy S24 lineup features the same 2600 nits of peak brightness.

Apart from this, recently it has also been reported that the Galaxy S25 could bring a ‘Batter AI’ feature to upgrade battery performance. Samsung debuted its Galaxy S24 Ultra as a flagship device and received immensely positive reviews all around. Despite being high-end, it has a few issues, and a tipster poked at it for false advertising.

Transparently, the Galaxy S24 Ultra brought dozens of novelties, but unfortunately, it had a few issues. Samsung didn’t care and fixed most of them with the initial software updates. But some issues are yet to be fixed, and a well-known popular tipster takes it as a golden opportunity and has called for a class action lawsuit against Samsung for false advertising.

A post on X shared by a tipster (via- SamMobile), unveiled that the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s screen feels grainy at low brightness levels, and Samsung has not acknowledged the issue yet, which seems quite disappointing. Not only this, but a tipster called Samsung a fraud just because of the grainy screen issue that created inconvenience for some units.

The smartphone’s camera has defective color shades, and its telephoto camera oversharpens things. The long-telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom on the phone has issues regarding hardware, creating white objects to “glow.” He may be referring to the potential issue of overexposing white or light-colored subjects. Apart from all this, he also claims that the outcome of the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s telephoto camera doesn’t match exactly what Samsung claims in the advertisement.

According to the tipster, the bottom loudspeaker of the phone has a design defect, and the S Pen slot appears crooked. But despite all of these issues, the Galaxy S24 series breaks the sales record of its predecessor. Regarding all these issues, the tipster has requested that American users not purchase the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

Samsung and Apple are two common brands that play a catfight to introduce new products and features to compete with each other. Now Apple will reportedly begin mass production of its first foldable iPhone in late 2026.

Apple is the toughest contender in the tech industry, but despite that, it has yet to introduce its first foldable device. Finally, it appears that Apple is conscious of debuting in the foldable market, as a report says Apple will begin mass production of its first foldable iPhone by the end of 2026.

On the other hand, Apple’s biggest rival, Samsung, is already about to debut its sixth-generation foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6. An admirable fact is that, after facing tough challenges in China, Samsung is leading the global foldable market. But once Apple debuts in the foldable market, the Korean giant will undoubtedly have to face more challenges and fight for a leading position in the foldable market.

The competition is getting savage, and its peak could be seen when the first foldable iPhone hits the market. It is being reported by a tipter that Apple is set to start mass production of a foldable iPhone. Although Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo previously revealed that the company could introduce a 20.3-inch MacBook with a foldable display in 2027,.

Display supply chain insider Ross Young also pointed out Apple’s development of a 20-inch foldable hybrid device, set for a 2026 or 2027 release. A well-reliable source, Mark Gurman, also stated that he was “exploring a dual-screen, foldable MacBook/iPad hybrid.” If the reports are to be believed, Apple has “accelerated” its work on foldable devices. It is also reported that Apple is exploring 7.9-inch and 8.3-inch screen sizes for a foldable iPhone.
