As we shared an update schedule last week, Samsung has started updating the Galaxy devices according to a nearby date. The Galaxy Note 10, Galaxy S21 FE, and Galaxy S20 FE are now receiving new updates in the form of the August 2023 update.
The latest update for the Galaxy Note 10, Galaxy S21 FE, and Galaxy S20 FE is now live in Canada. Users of the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 + can identify the latest update by the firmware version numbers N970WVLS8HWG1 and N975WVLS8HWG1 respectively.
The Galaxy S21 FE is receiving the update with firmware version G990WVLS8EWH1, while the Galaxy S20 FE is getting the update with software version G781WVLSAHWG9. These devices have already received the update in several other parts of the world.
The August 2023 update does not include any new novelty for the devices; it is one of the general security patch updates that improves the overall security of the devices by removing security vulnerabilities. According to the official documentation, the new update brings more than 80 fixes, of which Samsung has added 30+ patches for its Galaxy devices.
Moreover, if you update your device to the latest version, there are high chances that it will improve several functions of the device, which could be beneficial for its performance and stability. It is worth noticing that the Galaxy Note 10 series is probably getting its last update, while the other fan edition devices are still eligible to get some more updates.
