Galaxy S24 Ultra: Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Available Globally, But Speeds Might Vary
Samsung is bringing its tradition of Exynos-Snapdragon-powered processors to its Galaxy S flagship models. This was excluded from the Galaxy S23 series, as the whole series was covered with the Snapdragon chipset.
Several users claimed that the Galaxy S23 series performance was great because of the exclusion of the Exynos chipset. So this time there is a heavy toll on Samsung as it brings back the Exynos processor on its S24 series. As we all know, the base and plus variants will be getting the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor in the US, Canada, Japan, and China regions, whereas other parts of the world will be getting Samsung’s own Exynos 2400 processor.
But the Ultra variant, the Galaxy S24 Ultra, however, is set to get the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 CPU. But now there is a statement stating that a few regions will be getting faster Snapdragon chipsets for the Galaxy S24 Ultra. The Galaxy-exclusive model’s fastest core is clocked at 3.4GHz with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, while the ordinary variant’s clocks at 3.3GHz, giving the Korean behemoth a similar advantage over rival makers. But as per the benchmark entries for the handset on Geekbench, Samsung appears to have tested both the mainstream and Galaxy-exclusive Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 variants during the development process. The rumor that suggests that not all Galaxy S24 Ultras will be the same appears to have its origins in some of those entries, which list a clock speed of 3.3 GHz.
Only for the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ will Samsung employ the regular Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which has the fastest core clocking in at 3.3 GHz. As usual, the base and Plus models will both include 8GB of RAM on the most affordable version; however, this year, the Plus model will also have a 12GB RAM variation. So there’s no need to believe in the rumors, as the same faster Snapdragon processor will be made available to every S24 Ultra model all around the world.
