Samsung Galaxy Watch’s Blood Pressure & ECG feature available in these countries

Published

on

Samsung Galaxy watches are equipped with high-end hardware, but without the proper support of software, they are also not able to provide you with the proper service. The same is true of the Samsung Health Monitor, which is responsible for monitoring the ECG and blood pressure, but due to its absence in some countries, users are not able to take advantage of these features.

The main reason behind the unavailability of this feature is the lack of government approval in respected countries where Galaxy Watches are available, but the Korean giant is actively working hard towards obtaining the license to run the application in more countries. Recently,  they received approval in India, and now the company is unlocking these features by serving a new update for the Galaxy smartwatches.

For your information, the Samsung Health Monitor application works only with Galaxy smartphones that are running on Android 9 or above, and it is compatible with the Galaxy Watch Active 2, Galaxy Watch 3, Galaxy Watch 4, Galaxy Watch 5 series, and Galaxy Watch 6 series. If you own the devices with the mentioned criteria, then you can check the list of countries below and go for download.

Last month, Samsung launched its brand-new Galaxy Watch FE, specially made to provide the flagship Galaxy watch features at an affordable price; this is the first time the Korean giant has introduced the updated fan edition Galaxy watch.

As we said, the device is made to reach users who can use flagship-level features at an affordable cost. It is obvious that the company hasn’t equipped the device with similar hardware. Now, the new report mentions that the watch also lacks OS update support.

How Many Software Update Will Galaxy Watch FE Get?

According to SamHive, the Galaxy Watch FE is only eligible for 4 year of software support, during which it will receive three major updates: Wear OS and One UI watch. The device will also receive security patches for four years.

Compared to the other standard Galaxy watches, the FE variant lacks one OS and one year of software updates. Meanwhile, Samsung has followed the same five-year software policy for the Galaxy Watch 7 series.

In general, major software updates benefit users by providing the convenience of using different functionalities. At the same time, security patch support ensures that users can stay protected from cyber threats.
