Samsung has brought the Galaxy S24 series, but this time the company has not brought any major hardware changes for the camera except the 5x telephoto lens. However, the company has fulfilled this by introducing new software features. One notable capability is the ability to capture photos with a resolution of 24 MP using Expert RAW.

Optimizing the software of the device enables the 24MP resolution of photos. According to the information, it is a result of AI computational photography technology, which takes the details from the 12MP and 50MP resolutions, respectively, and merges them into one photo to produce a high-quality image with a single click.

Process of 24MP resolution Photo in details

When you switch to 24MP photo in Expert RAW, it first triggers the camera to take a 12MP photo, which takes multiple shots, and then it converges to the HDR, which enhances the dark and saturated areas of the image.

At the same time, the device also takes a 50MP photo, which brings detailed information that improves the texture and sharpness of the image. Then it starts to merge the photos into one and brings the result to 24MP resolution.

It is worth noticing that Expert RAW comes by default and takes photos in 24MP for Galaxy S24 series devices; however, you can still have the option to take the desired resolution photos, including 12MP and 50MP, depending on your requirements. Additionally, you can save the 24MP photos in both JPEG and RAW formats.
