Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Note 20 get February 2024 security patch in the USA

Samsung is frequently rolling out the February 2024 security patch for Galaxy devices in different countries, while this time the devices present in the US market are also getting the update rapidly. Now,  with the latest development, the company has rolled out the update for the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Note 20 devices on more carriers.

Notably, the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Note 20 are getting the update for the carrier-locked variants. Users who own the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and Galaxy S20 Ultra can identify the latest update by the firmware version numbers G981USQS8HXA1, G986USQS8HXA1, and G988USQS8HXA1, respectively. The update is now available on several carriers, including T-Mobile, MetroPCS, Sprint, and US Cellular. 

Meanwhile, the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra are getting new updates with the firmware version numbers N981USQS6HXA1 and N986USQS6HXA1, respectively. The update has been spotted in several countries, including T-Mobile, Sprint, Spectrum Mobile, and Comcast. The unlocked units of the device have also received the update with the firmware version number N98*U1UES6HXA1. In the next few days, this device will get updates on the other remaining networks.

The latest update for these devices is coming with the February 2024 patch, which doesn’t bring any new features for the devices but will have some new security enhancements that will improve the overall security mechanism of Galaxy devices.
