Samsung Confirm Its Tie To The US Before Debut Of Texas Chip Fab
A few years ago, in 2021, Samsung Austin Semiconductor announced the construction of a new semiconductor fabrication facility in Taylor, Texas. This kind of project is the second in Texas, similar to Austin, which was the first. And a well-proficient engineer named Rafael Lainez was dropped as Director of Manufacturing Engineering.
Despite the many changes Lainez has witnessed, some things never changed, such as the Korean giant’s commitment to being a proud U.S. employer, a good neighbor, and an upstanding corporate citizen of Central Texas, and its dedication to serving the local community.
The Korean giants are building the massive semiconductor manufacturing units in Taylor, Texas, and even before the inauguration of this chip fabrication, they have reaffirmed their commitment to the U.S. The noticeable fact is that operating profit is not the only concern of the giants but also the well-being of the overall team and people associated with the company. This is the reason why Samsung stands out from others and leads the industry.
Although the new fabrication plant is the latest green signal of the longtime commitment of the Korean brand Samsung to the U.S., previously it was expected that mass production at this facility would begin in the third quarter of 2024, but unfortunately the brand got delayed until 2025. At the moment, the exact reason behind this delay is not clear yet.
Meanwhile, some of the other reports are also reporting that Samsung is fighting to secure subsidies from the US government for its Texas plant.
