Samsung and BOE vie to be the suppliers for Apple’s iPhone SE4

Apple is about to launch its latest iPhone SE4 this year, and to fulfill its display demand, the company is already searching for an efficient partner. To grab this opportunity, there are three display supplier companies available, but Samsung is already taking the lead.
According to the information, Samsung Display has disclosed a unit price of US $30, BoE offers US $35, and Tianma is $40, while Apple is countering with US $20.
The OLED panel for the iPhone SE4 will likely be the same one as those used in the iPhone 14 back in 2022, as well as the iPhone 13 a year earlier than that. This indicates that the companies will not have to spend extra money on research and development.
Samsung is already in business with Apple to fulfill the display requirement, as it is already supplying the old display for the iPhone 14 OLED, so it can also use the older inventory to address the iPhone SE4 supply demand.
The Korean giant will also plan to focus more on the more profitable OLED panels for the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 series later this year. If it gets the deal, then the company will get more benefits as it can make the displays at even lower costs.
Meanwhile, other display suppliers look like they are not in the game; time is like not being the series contender as it is behind in OLED technology. Meanwhile, BOE can give the competition to Samsung as it needs to get orders.
