Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra’s S-Pen lets you easily write and sketch, offers touch-free control by gesture, and offers quick access to efficiency. It features a 0.7-mm pen tip and a 4,096-psi pressure sensor. The brand has built it in a way to enhance users’ experiences. But here we are discussing whether this stinks or not.

The question of whether the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s S-Pen stinks or not was raised since it was noticed that previous compatible Samsung models, which include the Galaxy S23 Ultra, Galaxy S22 Ultra, Galaxy Note 20, and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, have a strange smell.

So that’s the valid question: does the latest S-Pen model of the Galaxy S24 Ultra also give off a weird fragrance? And if yes, Then why, and isn’t it harmful?

Don’t Freak Out! Why Your S Pen Smells Like a Burnt Plastic (But Isn’t Broken)

Some of the Galaxy S24 Ultra users are reporting these days on Reddit and the official community of Samsung that they are sensing a foul odor from their S-Pen, and the fact is that the built-in stylus does not exactly smell good.

Health-conscious users don’t have to worry, since there is nothing to worry about about the foul smell that you are sensing from S-Pen. Samsung Community has confirmed the reason why the S-Pen doesn’t smell good, just because of a guess. The S-Pen is stored close to the internal components of smartphones, and when they start generating heat, it heats plastic and releases a strange smell like burning plastic.

So there is nothing major to worry about, not even when it comes to damage. Although this is not the first time this kind of report has come into existence, there have also been reports in previous years.
