The Samsung Galaxy S20 launched back in 2020; it came with Android 10 preinstalled. The device later received three more major updates in the form of Android 11, Android 12, and Android 13. Now the device is no longer eligible to get any major updates, but it will still be eligible to get some more security patches.

The March 2024 security patch for the Galaxy S20 is now live in Canada. Users can identify the update by the firmware version number G98*WVLS8HXC1. The update has a size of 261.31 MB. The update is based on One UI 5.1, as the device is limited to it.

The latest update brings the March 2024 security patch, which is a standard security patch update that doesn’t bring any significant features, but if you are conscious of the security of your device, then you should always keep your device updated to the latest version.

In detail, as per the official documentation, there are 40+ fixes introduced by them; 37 are included by Google, which provides an enhancement for the functions related to the Android OS. Along with this, Samsung has also introduced nine more functions for providing enhancements to Galaxy devices exclusively.

If you are facing any issues while using the device, then you should update your device to the version that may address the issues. To get the advantage of the latest update, you just need to go to the software update menu from the system settings.
