Carrier-Locked Galaxy S23 gets March 2024 security patch in the USA

Samsung is gradually expanding the March 2024 security update to eligible Galaxy devices; initially, it rolled out the update for the Galaxy S24, and now, moving forward, the update is now available for the Galaxy S23 devices. 

The Galaxy S23 devices in the US are receiving the new security patch update. More specifically, the update is spotted in the locked aversion on the US Cellular network. The update is coming with the firmware numbers S911USQS2BXBD, S916USQS2BXBD, and S918USQS2BXBD for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra, respectively. More carriers are expected to have the update available in the next few days.

For your information, the latest update for the Galaxy S23 doesn’t bring any new features for the device, but it will provide some security-related enhancements.  Going into details, with the update, more than 40 fixes are introduced, of which 37 were added by Google to enhance the overall performance of the devices. Along with this, there are nine more fixes for addressing the issues exclusively from Samsung.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra’s May Update Bring Efficient Improvement In Battery Life & Overall Performance

Samsung started rolling out the May update for the Galaxy S24 smartphone in the US, Canada, and Europe. Now the reports point to significant improvements in battery life and overall performance. 

After installing the May update on its Galaxy S24 Ultra device, a Reddit user shared his experience, stating that he noticed a dramatic increase in screen-on time. He elaborated on his experience by stating that before upgrading the update, he was getting 4-5 hours of screen-on time on his Galaxy S24 Ultra smartphone. After upgrading, he noticed eight hours of screen-on time with 26% battery remaining. 

Apart from the extended battery life, the Reddit user also mentioned a noticeable enhancement in overall performance and inconvenient issues such as app crashes, screen jitters, and slowdowns while multitasking is not appearing, which resulted in flawless functionality and seamless performance. 

A user shared the Reddit post on X and stated, “It feels like a brand new phone for him.” 

This report is increasing the excitement among Galaxy S24 Ultra users for grabbing the latest May update as it improves battery life and smoother performance. It appears the Galaxy S24 Ultra May update is well-received by users who installed it, with improvements in battery life, performance, and overall stability. Samsung is now dispatching the May 2024 security patch for the Galaxy S24 series in the Canada region. 

The Samsung Galaxy S24 series has already received the May 2024 security patch in several other regions, including the US and Europe. Now its turn for the Canada region, and it is expected that soon the brand will expand this May patch in more regions. 

The update has arrived with its own identification build number, S92*WVLS2AXD3. One can easily download the update since it’s not quite bigger; it just needs 514.33 MB in size. 

The update is fixing all the bugs and issues spotted in the previous version, improving safety and security, upgrading stability, and enhancing overall functionality to deliver a seamless and flawless software experience to the users. All the security vulnerabilities get fixed with this update, enhancing the secure experience. Galaxy S21 Getting One UI 6.1 Update In The US

The Samsung Galaxy S21 is receiving a One UI 6.1 update in the United States on Verizon carriers, as well as Unlocked version, but with limited Galaxy AI features.

Samsung draws a line between the Galaxy S21 series and Galaxy AI features, as the device only gets two AI features, including Circle to Search with Google and Chat Assist, with this latest One UI 6.1 software update. 

At the moment, the Galaxy S21 series is receiving the One UI 6.1 update in the US on a carrier-locked Verizon network with the identification build number G99*USQUAGXDE

Whereas, the unlocked Galaxy S21 series models are getting the One UI 6.1 update with the dedicated version number, G99*U1UEUAGXDE

This update will help to optimize device performance, resolve all known issues that were present in the previous version and were creating a kind of inconvenience, and deliver new features for a seamless experience. Jumping on the Galaxy AI features, the update only brings Circle to Search, which automatically provides information regarding images or text you circled to search, and the Chat Assist feature, which uses AI to help with text messaging.
